Carteret County Economic Development Council, Inc. (EDC)

Since 1971, the Carteret County Economic Development Council, Inc. (EDC) has been promoting the economic vitality of Carteret County. This nonprofit membership-driven organization has worked to create jobs, opportunities and investment Carteret County.

The EDC works with the North Carolina Department of Commerce, North Carolina’s East Alliance, a wide range of other state, regional and local partners to improve the overall business climate and expand the tax base of Carteret County and its municipalities.

The EDC provides comprehensive information and assistance to retain and expand our existing business, encourage the formation of new business and promote the growth of emerging business in Carteret County. The EDC also provides “confidential” project information to attract new, compatible business investment to Carteret County.

The Carteret EDC website is designed to provide CEO’s, presidents, business owners, corporate real estate executives, facility planners and site selection consultants with comprehensive demographic and economic information about Carteret County.
